Valentine's Day

We were invited by our apartment management to go to a Valentine's Culinary Experience with Chef Jimmy Chok.  He is one of the most dynamic and talented young chefs in today's culinary scene.  He has opened numerous restaurants and has won all these cooking awards.  He is best known for his creation of innovative that blend Asian ingredients with Western-style cooking.  He and his family live in Singapore.


Carpaccio of Hokkaido Scallop, Cucumber Salad & Yuzu Miso Dressing
(The scallops was raw, they had to cook mine.)

Double Boil Chicken Soup


Slow Roasted Beef Tenderloin, Sauteed Mushroom, Asparagus and Jus
(This was wonderful, US beef)


Steamed Chocolate Cake & Vanilla Ice Cream
(Of course this was wonderful)


Gold plated handles and coffee pot

This is called a Salamander (has a broiler on the top).
They said the cost was 17,000 ringetts, US cost $5,500.
