Port Dickson

David and I spent the weekend at the Avillion Resort in Port Dickson which is located about 1 1/2 hours from KL.  It is actually the closest beach around.  The place was beautiful and very relaxing.  Our room was air conditioned but the bathroom was open to the sky and the water below. It was a nice weekend get-a-way.

The hotel entrance

There was a kids pool and an adult pool.

Can you see the monkey going up the tree?

I loved watching the tide go in and out. In the middle of the night even as far out as we were, there was no water under our chalet.

Melaka

We went traveling to Melaka this weekend.  Melaka is an historical town located on the Straits of Malacca.  There are alot of things to see there but it is a little diffucult to find parking and find all the places when you are not with a tour group.  David and I had heard of Jonker Street so that is where we ended up going.  Jonker Street is located in the older section of the city and is a popular place for bargin hunters and antique collectors.  Next time we go we will be sure and go with a tour group and see all the other things there are to see in Melaka.
