Putrajaya Tour

We took a tour to Putrajaya on Monday.  It is located about 40 minutes from KL on the way to the airport.  This is where all the government buildings are located.  These buildings were build in 1995 so they are still in very good condition and were beautiful.  There is a man made lake in the middle of the buildings.  You can take a boat ride in an air conditioned glass boat up and down the lake.

Finance Building

The Sultan's (like our Governor) summer home.

There are nine bridges.

The Mosque - we could not go in because it was prayer time.

Gates to the palace.

There was one hotel in this area and this is a fountain that was there.

More fruit

I don't know what it is about the fruit over here but it has alot to be desired.  All the normal fruit we have at home is great but the native fruit is an acquired taste.

The red hairy fruit is called rambutan. I did not care for it but Vickie liked it. It was kinda hard and hard to bit and it also had a seed in it.

The smaller fruit is called longan.  Vickie said it taste like a musedine but had a marble type pit.  I of course did not try it.
