Independence Day in Malaysia

Today is Independence Day in Malaysia.  Last night at midnight there were horns going off and a beautiful fireworks display.  I have to say that KL has the best fireworks show that I have ever seen.  There were thousands of people in the park so by the time everyone left and all the noise stopped it was 2:30 am this morning.   I also have pictures of the Tourist Center mainly because of all the flags that are flying for Independence Day.

Weekend in Singapore

We went to Singapore again last weekend.  We stayed at a not so great hotel but this is where David had some guys doing some work so we visited with them while we were there.  We will go back to the Orchard Hotel next time.  We had a nice weekend until we started home and the vehicle that we were in had a few problems. After about 30 minutes on the road the a/c went out and then an hour later the car ran hot.  We were 2 1/2 hours from KL in the middle of no where.  After making a few calls we had a tow truck on the way and Michael and Pamela Ivey were on their way to get us. What started out as a four hour trip ended up being a nine hour trip.  I think we will fly to Singapore the next time.

Furama Hotel

There are alot of weddings in this hotel.

I turn these pictures before I post them and I don't know why they go back the wrong way, sorry.

Harbour Cruise on the Imperial Cheng Ho

This was a 2 1/2 boat cruise that stopped at Kusu Island.  We visited a quaint Chinese Temple (more like a shrine) that you had to climb 150 steps to get there.

These are one million dollars per unit.

This is the temple.

This man was in the temple and he said a blessing over you.

David washing his feet after being in the ocean.

This was suppose to be a wishing well.  We just said "whatever".
